I’m a beginner. Recently, I read the descriptions of valves specified in Sinopec’s bidding documents, and I found them a bit confusing. For example, what does “Ball valve | Standard type CL150 RF A216 WCB 304/STL, F304 DN100 304 ball” mean? Which part is the valve body material? Which part is the valve seat material? Which part is the valve core material? Could an expert please provide a detailed explanation? Also, could you explain the marking rules and methods for British, American, and German standard valves, as well as how to distinguish between them? Thank you in advance
This isn’t a standard American standard model – it has a capacity of 150 lbs, an RF face flange, a WCB valve body, 304+STL sealing surfaces (for the seat), and a 304 ball core. For more details, please refer to: https://wenku.baidu.com/view/c342dfd35122aaea998fcc22bcd126fff6055d50.html
Then, may I ask, is this F304 a forged part? Does it refer to the actuator or the valve core?

This F304 might be the valve stem material! I’ll send my previous procurement plan for reference. Ball valve Q41F2-150LB-C, DN25, HG20615RF; valve body made of WCB, PTFE for the seat and sealing surfaces as well as for the packing; stem made of SS304, 2Cr13 for the valve plug
F304 likely refers to the internal components of the ball valve, not the valve body itself; the valve body is made of cast WCB carbon steel in accordance with standard A216. I assume that F304 refers to the valve stem, while the 304 ball is probably what was mentioned earlier as the valve core. The 304 material is also used for the STL sealing surface (valve seat)
The descriptions of valves according to American standards differ from those according to Chinese standards; American-standard valves use descriptive labels, while Chinese-standard ones use code-based labels, with each letter representing a certain material
There are detailed code explanations available online; standards in the US are stricter than those in China
