System ductwork, providing load tables for various operating conditions to the structural engineering team. Could some teacher please send it? Thank you!
This post was last edited by Asuka Sky on 2020-3-11 at 16:12. What I said might not be very clear; to elaborate, it is this: in the design of system ductwork, what requirements does the piping discipline need to provide to the civil engineering and structural engineering disciplines?
The number of pipes, their specifications, the load per unit length of the pipes (weight when filled with water + insulation), and a layout diagram – these are probably the things needed.
It mainly concerns the location of the pipe gallery, as well as the basic positioning of the columns in it. The structure will be adjusted later on. Other aspects include the number of floors in the pipe gallery, its elevation, as well as its cross-sectional view. This view shows the number of pipes and the loads acting on them (empty weight, weight when filled with water, weight of materials, weight of insulation), along with the location of the fixing brackets and the horizontal thrusts. The loads associated with the cable trays are usually specified by the piping team, and it’s also necessary to consider whether any space should be reserved for future use
Is the plan layout diagram of the system pipeline tray prepared by the civil structure team or by the piping team?
For civil engineering, it is the structural diagram; for the piping specialty, it is the piping layout plan
