I would like to ask the experts: what type of pneumatic valve is suitable for use at the bottom of a powder silo? This device needs to be turned on and off frequently, and the powder causes significant wear on the valve core; we require absolute sealing. The inside of the equipment is under negative pressure. At present, we use rubber-lined butterfly valves, but over time the rubber seals wear out very severely. I would like to ask the experts: which type of valve is more appropriate?
If it is permissible to purge the valve with the medium itself, valves equipped with purge holes are recommended; when opening or closing the valve, the purge medium is first used to purge the valve seat.
With a knife gate valve, a purging function can be implemented.
You can try our factory’s zero-friction telescopic ball valve.
:) If frequent opening and closing is required, a soft seal is not suitable as it is not wear-resistant. In the case of an absolute seal and frequent opening/closing, a hard-sealed triple-eccentric butterfly valve is recommended

There are butterfly valves designed for use with powders, as well as valve seats that are resistant to wear; they can be operated pneumatically, manually, or electrically – the one shown in the image is operated pneumatically. If you’re interested, feel free to message me privately; I’m a valve manufacturer from Jiangsu.
If leakage is a concern, I would recommend a 3-eccentric metal hard-sealed butterfly valve.
Coaxial valves – our coaxial valves are the most suitable for such applications. Resistant to various dusts, debris, and particles.
Ceramic plug valve, operating frequency of once every 30 minutes; it can operate for a year in practical use. The sealing surface is made of reinforced ceramic, with a maximum dual-direction air seal capacity of 0.6 kilograms. Contact number: 15333832617 – feel free to reach out!
