I hope the experts here can help me figure this out: For a coke oven gas system with a pressure of 0.4 MPa and pipes of DN700 size, what type of valve should be used for cutting off the flow? The pressure is relatively high; is it feasible to use a combination of a butterfly valve and a blind valve?
The pressure isn’t very high; I’m thinking of using a butterfly valve in combination with a blind valve, but I’m not sure whether the blind valve can still be used at pressures above 0.25 MPa – it seems that its maximum operating pressure is only 0.25 MPa

If a blind plate is used on the butterfly valve, it should no longer be possible to open the valve. P; if a butterfly valve can be used, then the correct installation sequence should be butterfly valve + short flange pipe + blind plate/cap.
It’s not a blind plate used on the butterfly valve, but rather a combination of a butterfly valve and a blind plate valve; however, no blind plate valve with a pressure rating of 0.4 MPa was found
Provide the temperature parameters; a ventilation butterfly valve can achieve a leakage rate of 1%, or a triple-eccentric butterfly valve can be used. I was wondering if 700-bore ball valves are available. How much would they cost? . . . There are pictures on my homepage: high-temperature butterfly valves used in steel mills :D:D
DN700 ball valve, what are you thinking, buddy? The butterfly valve is the preferred choice!
At a temperature of 100°C, wouldn’t there be leakage if only one butterfly valve is used?
