Issue of the outer diameter of the jacket tube in chemical processes

According to the national standard SH/T 3040, the outer tube of a jacketed pipe with DN25 should be DN50, but the design institute specified DN40. During on-site construction, it was found that the distance between the inner tube and the outer tube was very small, only about 3 mm. Has anyone used a jacketed tube with an outer tube of DN25 and an inner tube of DN40? How effective is it?
Ask the design institute about this and see what they think. Section 7.2.1 of SHT3040-2012 states that \"unless otherwise specified, it is advisable to follow Table 7.2.1\", and it is recommended to use DN50.
It’s indeed too small; it is recommended to send a letter to the design institute for confirmation. I think the design institute likely designed it based on a uniform standard that is two levels higher, without taking into account the fact that the diameter variations for small pipes are quite small.
