In other words, the check valve should not have a handwheel. But I really don’t understand this specification – different fields are quite complex. The details for the check valve are as follows: CHECK VALVE, BC, SWING, CL300 (PN5.0MPA), RF, ASTM A216 WCB; Trim: 13Cr/STL; Stem: A182 F6a CL.2; GASKET: S.S/FG SWG; BOLT/NUT: A193 r./A194 Gr.2H, BS 1868; HANDWHEEL, 4”. I want to ask how to remove the handwheel – is it sufficient to just delete the term “HANDWHEEL”, or do I need to make other changes as well? I would like to thank everyone here.
Take a look at the structure of the check valve and see what components don’t have a corresponding position The handwheel of at least 4 inches must be removed, HANDWHEEL, 4“. The one with a handwheel is a globe check valve, which has a shut-off function.
It seems that we have a more detailed classification here: check valves are just check valves, and globe valves are just globe valves. The manager’s point is that check valves don’t come with handwheels
It is recommended to check the relevant valve manuals; common check valves indeed generally do not have handwheels. To prepare valve specifications, it is necessary to understand valves; one cannot work in isolation.
