Our facility uses an open-air, low-level salting method for producing brine from ion exchange membranes. In winter, due to the low ambient temperatures, there is significant heat loss. To address this issue, we are considering adding a thermal insulation cover to the salt pond; what material would be both economical and cost-effective? Are there any friends in the forum who use similar salt-dissolution methods? What approach does your organization use to address the issue of heat loss?
