The Naisch pumps used by our company for liquid chlorine filling have not been in use for long; their vacuum level drops rapidly, requiring frequent replacement of the impellers and housings. Additionally, the machine seals also need to be replaced often. I am now seeking suggestions from everyone on good ways to reduce the need for repairs and replacements of Naisse pumps, or to modify them so that they can operate for a long time.
I have also been helping clients choose liquid chlorine pumps recently; after checking around, it seems that most manufacturers opt for the double-shell liquid chlorine-specific pumps produced by a pump manufacturer in Dalian.
Improving the quality of repairs carried out by maintenance staff is the most important thing.
The industry has now largely switched to magnetic submersible pumps. The sealing performance, maintenance rate, and operation are also quite stable!
Is there a ventilation port installed? When the vacuum level is too high and there is no gas left in the pipeline, the acid in the Nutsche pump will stop flowing; as a result, the pump head and the inlet and outlet ports will heat up, and the mechanical seal and impeller may get damaged. I’ve installed a ventilation port to allow a small amount of air to enter, and the pressure at the pump outlet is set between 0.2 and 0.4 to ensure that the acid continues to flow. However, this approach has a drawback: when pumping out vacuum, if too much chlorine enters, positive pressure will be created, causing the chlorine to escape through the ventilation port
