The black spot problem in liquid caustic soda

Recently, customers have reported the presence of small black granular impurities in our liquid caustic. We have cleaned all the caustic tanks, but these impurities are still there. Is this phenomenon also observed in others’ liquid caustic? How to solve it? Thank you!
We have the same issue; we haven’t been able to determine the exact cause of the black particles. You might try a magnetic filter, as it can be somewhat effective.
We have one too; it improved a bit after adding a filter. Which unit are the two people upstairs from?
Black particulates are mainly caused by the aging and shedding of gaskets around the electrolyzer equipment, typically the sealing gaskets for the anode and cathode of the electrolyzer as well as the square sealing gaskets on the liquid outlet pipes. During maintenance, remove a few of the cathode overflow tubes to check whether the square gaskets have begun to age. Generally, these dark spots decrease after membrane replacement and maintenance of the electrolyzer.

Adding a 316L precision filter perfectly solves this problem.
