There are sparks inside the caustic soda discharge hose of the ion-exchange membrane cell – what’s causing this and how should it be dealt with? Thank you.
The sparking is caused by poor power supply to the battery cell
Today’s electrolyzers have a high production capacity per unit, and there are many such units; during operation, the voltage difference across the electrodes of these electrolyzers is large, which leads to frequent sparking at the outlet hoses. Generally, this does not pose any danger. Increasing the circulation flow will improve the situation.
