For calcium carbide slag slurry, is there a better way to handle it?
The main component of calcium carbide slag is calcium hydroxide. Previous research has been conducted in this area, involving the calcination of calcium carbide slag to produce calcium oxide, which is then reused in the production of calcium carbide. This creates a recycling cycle and helps address environmental issues. If the technology is up to standard and the economic calculations work out, then it would indeed be a good solution. It seems that it isn’t yet industrialized.
