Wang Wenli, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Non-Metallic Minerals Industry Association, agreed with this view. According to him, at present, the price of high-end calcium carbonate products that can be used in areas such as calendered films, breathable films, high-end specialty plastics, and high-end specialty coatings is around 1,200 yuan per ton, offering a significant price advantage over traditional calcium carbonate products. It is understood that calcium carbonate products are widely used in industries such as papermaking, coatings, and rubber, with the market mainly concentrated in China. Based on the market conditions, Wang Wenli suggested that the calcium carbonate industry should make capacity adjustment its top priority in carrying out industrial transformation and upgrading at present. “Calcium carbonate production areas should reduce capacity expansion on the supply side and focus on expanding demand. Let demand guide supply, and use market-based methods to utilize existing production capacity. ”Wang Wenli said.
