Chemours and PCC to jointly build a titanium dioxide and chlor-alkali production facility The Chemours Company announced that the PCC Group plans to build and operate a new chlor-alkali facility at its titanium dioxide (TiO2) plant located in Delray, Mississippi, United States. Meanwhile, the two parties have signed a chlorine supply agreement, which will come into effect once several standard prerequisites are met. It is reported that this chlor-alkali facility will employ the most advanced technologies to maximize energy efficiency. Once completed and put into operation, the factory’s annual designed capacity will reach 340,000 tons. The by-product of this project, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), will be sold by the PCC Group to strategic partners or circulated on the open market. Construction of the project is expected to begin in early 2026, with full operation planned for 2028. Denise Dignam, President and CEO of Kemper Titanium Technologies, said, “This partnership with PCC Group is an important step in our implementation of the ‘Path to Prosperity’ initiative; by supplying chlorine directly at the Delair titanium dioxide plant, we further enhance the reliability of our supply chain.” It is worth noting that this partnership requires no upfront investment from Kemulite, and it will help us reduce production costs, serve our customers better, and strengthen our position as their preferred titanium dioxide supplier.
