Recently, the 400,000-ton per year polyvinyl chloride production facility, one of the key units in the chlor-alkali integration project of the second phase of the Bohua Nangang New Materials Industrial Park located in the Nangang Industrial Zone, is making progress with pipeline purging and individual unit testing efforts, aiming to complete the construction by May 30. Once completed, it is expected to be able to produce 400,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride per year. The total investment in the chlor-alkali integration project of the second phase of the Bohua Nangang New Materials Industrial Park is approximately 5 billion yuan; existing land will be utilized to build facilities for producing caustic soda, vinyl chloride (VCM), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and other products. The PVC plant set to be completed this time covers an area of approximately 51,200 square meters. The main construction tasks include the building construction of 26 separate structures such as the polymerization and stripping plant, drying plant, additive preparation plant, PVC packaging plant, and finished product warehouse, along with the related supporting facilities. At present, Phase 1 of the Bohua Nangang New Materials Industrial Park project is fully operational, with its output value exceeding 10 billion yuan. Phase 2, which includes a plant capable of producing 300,000 tons of caustic soda per year and a plant capable of producing 400,000 tons of vinyl chloride (VCM) per year, is under accelerated construction. Once completed, the project will provide important support for linking, strengthening, and improving the green chemical industry chain, further helping the Nangang Industrial Zone to become a world-class base for green chemical new materials.
