The facility has a tank containing 92% concentrated sulfuric acid; every time the acid is unloaded, a very strong and irritating odor fills the area, making it impossible to enter. Isn’t it said that concentrated sulfuric acid doesn’t emit any odor? What are the components of this smell?
How does it revert to sulfur dioxide? How are these gases removed?
I plan to use a water film absorber in combination with spraying; is it still necessary to add alkali?
