Bade’s project for producing 120,000 tons of specialty polyethers per year has gone into operation

On April 9, 2026, Jiangsu Badu Polyurethane Co., Ltd.’s plant with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of specialty polyethers was put into operation in the Huai’an Industrial Park in Jiangsu. 　　Badu Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 60 tons per year of polyether polyol bimetallic catalysts and 120,000 tons per year of special polyethers involves a total investment of 500 million yuan. Construction began in 2023; the catalyst production facility was completed in 2024, while the special polyether production facility will be finished by January 2026. 　　Qi Weixin, chairman of Badu Shares, said at the commissioning ceremony that the launch of this project will enable the company to provide its downstream customers with higher-quality and more stable products and services. Taking this as an opportunity, the company will adhere to the path of high-quality development characterized by specialization, excellence, and innovation. It will focus on the fields of polyether bimetallic catalysts and specialty polyethers, continue to increase investment in technological innovation, and enhance its overall strength, thereby contributing more to the high-quality development of the local economy. 　　Lv Guohui, Secretary-General of the China Polyurethane Industry Association, said that as a **-level specialized and innovative small giant enterprise, Badu Co., Ltd. has, since its establishment in 2011, focused on independent innovation. It has successfully developed bimetallic DMC catalysts and holds a leading market share in this area, thereby making significant contributions to the development of China’s polyether industry. The commissioning of this project represents an important milestone in the company’s history, as well as a significant achievement in the advancement of the domestic production and upgrading of specialty polyethers in our country. The China Polyurethane Industry Association will, as always, serve enterprises and empower the industry; it will fully support the development of first-class polyurethane new material industrial bases such as those in Huai’an Industrial Park, and help outstanding enterprises grow stronger and expand their presence on the global stage. 　　Zhu Jian, vice president of the China Polyurethane Industry Association, as well as party secretary and general manager of Sinochem Dongda (Zibo) Co., Ltd., said that Badu Co., Ltd. is an important partner of Sinochem Dongda. The commissioning of the project today signifies a qualitative leap in Badu’s capacity to ensure supply. It is hoped that, building on the 15-year strategic partnership in bimetallic catalysts, both parties will achieve further success in areas such as research and development in specialty polyether technologies, market expansion, and quality improvement. 　　Cui Buyin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Huai’an Industrial Park, said that the commissioning of Badu Co., Ltd.’s plant with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of special polyethers represents an important milestone in the transformation of the company’s scientific and technological achievements into practical applications.
