The lining above the riser nozzle often wears off and falls off – are there any good solutions to this problem? Or any good recommendations for lining materials!
Check the nozzle and installation angle; the area that needs to be repaired on the lining should be large.
Everything has been checked, and there are no problems. The lining here is repaired every time it is serviced, but the effect isn’t very good; recently, hot spots have appeared in this area as well.
If necessary, replace the low-pressure drop nozzle; also, check whether the device is operating under overload conditions, which may result in an excessively high linear velocity of the nozzle. The lining issue has damaged a section about half a meter above and below it; it’s best to replace the entire area with a new lining, and it’s advisable to replace the pipes as well
Using a heat-insulating and wear-resistant lining with a density of 1800 kg/m3 for formwork and casting can basically solve the problem.

The casting of catalytic, heat-insulating, and wear-resistant linings is now highly advanced; what are the specific locations where this is applied? Is it near the center of the nozzle jet? If it is in this position, pay more attention to operational issues. 1. The preheating temperature of the raw materials is insufficient, resulting in poor atomization; large oil droplets carrying the catalyst wash away. 2. The amount of vaporized steam is too high, carrying the catalyst and causing erosion. 3. The amount of vaporized steam is insufficient, resulting in poor atomization; the reason is the same as above. 4. The pre-lift mass is too large, causing eddies and swirls in the catalyst, which erodes the lining. The lining of the nozzle installation section is generally cast separately; it is difficult to maintain the repair’s effectiveness, so it needs to be cast again during maintenance. The box mentioned upstairs refers to an emergency repair solution that allows work to continue; during construction, be sure to reserve a vent valve and keep it open to prevent explosions.
