In our plant, the pressure in the purification air tanks of the two catalytic units is always higher than that in the non-purification air tanks. The pressures in the purification and non-purification air tanks for the first catalytic unit are 0.58 MPa and 0.54 MPa respectively, while those for the second catalytic unit are 0.59 MPa and 0.54 MPa respectively (the air pressure supplied by our plant’s air compressor system is 0.62 MPa). May I ask the experts whether this is also the case in your plants? I believe the reason why the pressure in the non-air tank is lower than the net air pressure is that the backstream of the non-air stream consists of the reverse blowing, loosening, and delivery of air by the reverse regeneration system; the low backpressure in this backstream is what causes this phenomenon. What do you think?
It is mainly determined by the compressor outlet pressure at the nitrogen station within the plant and the pressure drop in the piping network.
I don’t think so; how much air volume can be used for loosening the points through reverse blowing? Moreover, the air used for transportation isn’t used all the time. Or your air tanks are too small.
My 150MT/a catalytic unit’s non-air consumption is usually around 5000 NM3/h, and this air is used in the regeneration system. What matters here is not the amount of air consumed, but rather the back pressure on the side stream involving non-air gases, which is only 200 KPa. What are the pressures of the clean air tank and the non-air tank of the catalytic unit that you are aware of?
It’s not necessarily the case; everything can be adjusted. It’s just that unfiltered air doesn’t require such high pressure, so generally, filtered air has a higher pressure
