Does the catalytic terminator have an effect on the catalyst?

The terminator used in the riser reactor of the unit is acidic water (injected at the upper part of the riser). Does the injection of acidic water have an effect on the catalyst (causing thermal degradation)? And does the use of acidic water as a terminator have an impact on the rear position? The media we use are all inert materials that do not participate in chemical reactions; water has a high heat capacity, so less of it is required compared to other media. It’s possible to improve the quality of substandard oils incidentally; why use water?
