I’ve seen integrated valves, where one handle controls 4 valves: one set is switched off while another set comes online.
This is usually included in the standard operating procedures; why isn’t it written there?
Each manual is written differently; some filters have an oil return pipe and an oil return sight glass. Therefore, the required operation methods are also different.
Follow the principles: fill the spare filter with oil (open the window with an oil return view, or turn the oil injection valve slightly if there is no such window), wait until the temperature of the spare filter matches that of the filter in use, and then proceed with the switchover slowly! Here, we usually keep the oil flushing valve set at a very low level – it barely closes – and we switch it after half a day!
