How often does a company need to replace its fire protection piping network? Should repairs be made only where the pipes are damaged, or should they be replaced after reaching a certain lifespan?

I really hadn’t noticed that issue; usually, we just fix whatever is broken.
Currently, the main problem is frequent leaks; digging to locate the leak points, sealing them, and backfilling is also a waste of time
