Therefore, it’s better to have a feedstock with a higher density and greater degree of reaction; however, if the feedstock is too heavy and the degree of reaction isn’t sufficient to allow for extraction, that’s also a problem. Likewise, if the degree of reaction is too high but the feedstock isn’t heavy enough, resulting in a product with many light components, that’s not ideal either. Generally, adjusting the temperature at which diesel is extracted, as well as the extraction points at layers 16 and 18, has a noticeable effect
