Should the emergency vent valve at the booster outlet be opened after the booster is shut down?
After the booster stops, if the inlet valve does not leak, it is necessary to open the outlet vent and the bottom drain; this is usually built into the interlock logic.
It can’t be opened; doing so would be equivalent to venting the main airflow.
First, it is necessary to determine whether the shutdown was triggered by interlock, by a switch, or as a normal shutdown. Generally, interlocks will cause the system to shut down when there is no pressure or when the flow rate is too low (there are also other conditions that can trigger a shutdown). The inlet and outlet manual valves should be closed, and make sure that the auxiliary oil pump starts automatically;
Is it necessary to turn it on in the case of interlocked shutdown? What is the purpose of opening it?
