What causes abnormal noises in a heat exchanger? How to avoid it?
Is that strange noise caused by a pneumatic hammer? If so, open the bypass valve of the steam trap and drain it to fix it
It is likely vapor lock; quickly open the drain valve of the condensate trap to release it. Severe vapor hammer can cause the heat exchange tubes to vibrate and leak.
