Has the use of catalytic units for reprocessing diesel produced internally been implemented? Where is the most suitable location to feed the reprocessed diesel into the lift pipe, and what is the effect of such reprocessing?
We tried it a few years ago; I remember that the gasoline yield wasn’t very high. I can’t recall the exact details, but it definitely went into the feed nozzle, and since it reached the terminator, it couldn’t be cracked! Another issue is that gas blockage is likely to occur in the heat exchangers for raw materials and oil slurry!
We want to set up a separate nozzle to enter from below the raw oil nozzle. Is that possible?
If it doesn’t crack as it enters the riser, isn’t that equivalent to creating a cycle within the system, thereby increasing the energy consumption of the plant?
Does this still require a special nozzle?
Catalytic diesel is difficult to crack; if it is mixed with other crude oils and fed together, very high reaction temperatures are required for cracking. If reprocessing on a long-term basis is planned, it is advisable to add separate nozzles, and I think placing them below the crude oils would work well. It’s best to consult a design firm for advice
