It is better to use duplex steel; I’ve already replaced 4 of the overhead coolers in my device ; I have used 304, 316L, and 20# nickel-phosphorus plating
The tube bundles for the air coolers and water coolers we use here are all made of 8Cr2Al1Mo, and the performance is quite good.
Generally speaking, when equipment suffers from corrosion, it is not sufficient to simply raise the requirements for the material used in that equipment; both process-based anti-corrosion measures and anti-corrosion treatments applied to the equipment itself are necessary. Raising the quality of the materials used in air-cooled equipment alone, without eliminating the factors that cause corrosion, will only shift the site of corrosion to downstream equipment. Therefore, improving the injection efficiency of oil and water into the overhead pipelines is the key to addressing the root cause of corrosion.
I just read some information: for corrosion protection in low-temperature areas, process-based methods are the main approach, with the corrosion resistance of equipment materials serving as a supplementary measure, for reference only.
We have the same requirement here, so we keep a close eye on the aspect of betting three times per withdrawal. The material is 09Cr2AlMoRE, and the performance is decent
