I have a container with a volume of about 2 cubic meters, and I need to replace the air inside it. I plan to do this by creating a vacuum. What will be the oxygen level inside the container as a result? Also, what is the approximate negative pressure when evacuating? What level can the oxygen content inside the box reach?
Please specify what the objectives of the replacement are, what the capacity of the container to withstand negative pressure is, and what the minimum required oxygen level is.
It is estimated that the box will collapse, and it’s difficult to determine how much vacuum can be created, as the actual strength under deformation is unknown. It is recommended to use nitrogen for purging
The oxygen content requirement is 25 ppm/L. Simply evacuating the space is not enough; nitrogen needs to be added.
Thank you for the reply; nitrogen must definitely be passed through it. I just don’t know if it’s possible to meet the 25 ppm/L requirement. Also, when the exhaust volume reaches 95% of the maximum, what is the pressure at that point? Is sampling calculated based on the total volume, or based on the volume of the sample taken? It seems like there’s a pretty big difference here

This type of substitution is a normal one, and an oxygen content of less than 25 ppm can be achieved. Negative pressure is applied to reduce nitrogen consumption. If the strength of the container permits, it is possible to fill it with water; replacing the water with nitrogen can also help save nitrogen usage. The replacement process needs to be analyzed
