Dear experts, what is the function of adding light diesel oil? After being fed into Unit 1, how does light diesel oil affect the fractionation tower? Help
Our light diesel was shipped out directly; it won’t be coming back.
In the early stages of commencement, it is beneficial to establish a middle school. The temperature of light diesel is low; the temperature in the middle pressure section
During the startup phase when establishing the primary recycle reflux, in the initial stage of the catalytic fractionator operation, it is difficult or time-consuming to establish the primary recycle reflux, which slows down the overall startup process. Adding light diesel oil to the primary stream can quickly increase the flow rate through the primary recycle reflux pump.
The main purpose is to establish a circulation loop as quickly as possible during the start-up phase; it should be more effective to feed it back at the inlet of the No. 1 pump. Some refineries also feed diesel back into the No. 1 tower in this manner
In terms of actual operational effects, adding light diesel oil during startup back to the No. 1 absorber tower is more conducive to establishing a No. 1 absorber circulation.
At the beginning of startup, there was no oil in the No. 1 accumulator tank of the fractionator, resulting in flooding of the tower. In such cases, it is necessary to replenish the distilled diesel through the inlet of the No. 1 pump, so as to establish No. 1 reflux as quickly as possible and control the temperature at which diesel is withdrawn. The procedure is to prevent any diesel from being dispatched during the initial startup phase; instead, it should be fed back into the No. 1 reflux system until it is fully established. Only after that, when there is still diesel present in the light diesel stripper tower, can diesel be shipped out
