Nash vacuum pump makes a whistling/squealing noise

Whistling or screeching sounds, intermittent and irregular; they come and go. I have no idea what causes this. Hopefully, some experienced folks here can offer some advice

The whistling sound emitted by a vacuum pump may be caused by several factors: 1. Worn or damaged bearings: Inspect and replace the bearings. 2. Poor sealing: Check whether there is any air leakage in the sealed parts of the pump; replace the seal rings if necessary. 3. Impeller or blade damage: Check whether the impeller and blades are damaged or deformed; if so, they need to be replaced. 4. Clogged or vibrating pipes: Check whether the inlet and outlet pipes are unobstructed. Also, ensure that the pipes are securely fixed to prevent any vibrations. 5. Excessively high operating speed: Adjust the motor speed to the recommended range. The screeching sound might be caused by local vibrations resulting from too high airflow velocity; check whether the vacuum pump inlet is blocked
Agree with the view from above; it has something to do with air flow. Mechanical wear happens very quickly; the sound should be different.
