Zhenhai Refining & Chemical: Capable of producing a full range of aviation gasoline grades. On June 16, a tank truck carrying 28 tons of 100LL low-lead aviation gasoline left Zhenhai Refining & Chemical and headed to an aviation airport in Shandong to supply fuel for the local low-altitude economy. Airports designated for aviation operations are used for flight tasks other than personal flying, passenger transport, and cargo transportation, such as aerial tourism, aerial photography, and agricultural and forestry spraying – namely special types of flight missions. Most of these aircraft are small planes equipped with piston engines powered by propellers, using aviation gasoline as fuel. In recent years, with the increasing environmental protection requirements and the advancement in the development of low-altitude airspace, the demand for low-lead and lead-free aviation gasoline has risen sharply. Relying on its crude oil resources and refining facilities, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. employs core processing technologies such as deep hydrogenation refining, highly aggressive catalytic reforming, and advanced alkylation to thoroughly remove impurities and improve the cleanliness and oxidation stability of its products. Meanwhile, it uses advanced online blending control systems to ensure precise mixing of various components, thereby maintaining key parameters such as octane rating, boiling range, and vapor pressure within specified limits. This results in products of excellent reliability, with high stability and a long shelf life. In addition, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical has successfully developed a set of experience for blending aviation gasoline that takes into account the differences in the properties of various components under different systems, achieving a technological breakthrough that allows it to meet the standards for high-octane aviation gasoline without the need to add any anti-knock additives, through precise control. After several years of technical efforts, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical has developed the capability to produce a full range of aviation gasoline grades. Among them, 100LL low-lead aviation gasoline and UL95 lead-free aviation gasoline have passed the bench tests and certifications conducted by the Second Research Institute of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which is the only authoritative certification body for aviation gasoline in our country. In August 2023, the 100LL low-lead aviation gasoline produced by Zhenhai Refining & Chemical was approved by the Airworthiness Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and qualified products were manufactured that very month. On December 22 of the same year, the 100LL low-lead aviation piston engine fuel produced by Zhenhai Refining & Chemical was successfully packaged and shipped out, marking the company as the first comprehensive petrochemical enterprise in China to possess the production technologies and capabilities for all three types of aviation fuels: Jet A-3, biojet fuel, and aviation gasoline. Thereafter, aviation gasoline was gradually delivered to downstream enterprises, mainly supplying domestic general aviation airports and flight schools. The output volume increased year by year, with it expected to exceed 3,000 tons by 2025. Throughout the years, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical has actively responded to the **\"dual carbon\" goals, integrating green and low-carbon principles throughout the entire production process of aviation gasoline. This year, the company succeeded in achieving \"zero waste oil\" in the production process of 100LL low-lead aviation gasoline, reducing waste oil generation by about 20 tons per production cycle, and turning its alkylation unit for producing aviation gasoline into a industry benchmark for green, clean, and sustainable operations.
