We encountered a problem in our engineering work: for example, at the bottom of the supports for the cyclone dust collectors, the civil engineering team said that bolts needed to be embedded there, while this was not necessary for silos and similar structures. What is the difference between embedded bolts and embedded steel plates? In what situations are embedded bolts used, and in what situations are embedded steel plates used?
It depends on the specific situation. Generally, with embedded bolts, the equipment can be disassembled for maintenance and replacement; however, it’s much more troublesome when there are embedded steel plates. Those requiring high installation precision also need embedded bolts, so that the elevation and position can be easily adjusted through secondary grouting.
It is the difference between embedded bolts and pre-drilled holes that deserves more explanation.
