ABB motors: What do all these wire numbers mean, and what type of signals are they connected to? 1TP1 1TP2 1HE1 1HE2 1R1 1R2 2R1 2R2 3R1 3R2
Two bearings, three stator temperatures
1R1, 1R2, 2R1, 2R2, 3R1, and 3R2 are the six terminal connections for the three-phase windings of a three-phase asynchronous motor; R1 represents the starting end, while R2 represents the ending end. These connections can be arranged in a triangular or star configuration as required. 1TP1 and 1TP2 should be thermistor detection terminals used to protect the motor, but the wire cores are too thick, making it difficult to be certain. I’m not sure about HE1 and HE2; wires this thick don’t seem like protective wires. Is it a special motor, for the excitation winding I guess. It would be best to provide the model number of the ABB motor for assessment.
