Shallow sand filter filtration accuracy

Do you all know the filtration precision of shallow sand filters? I checked online, and some say the filtration precision is 0.1 mm, while others mention it’s between 5 mm and 30 mm; there are also claims that it can reach below 5 um. That seems unlikely
This should be related to the particle size of the sand grains you choose.
I understand. Is there a rough corresponding relationship for those specifics? For example, what are the corresponding filtration precisions for sand particle sizes of 2mm, 4mm, and 8mm?
The filtration precision of the shallow sand filters used in our company is 10μm; the size of the sand particles is generally between 0.4–0.6mm and 2–4mm. To be honest, it’s almost impossible to achieve such a precision level – achieving 5μm precision is practically impossible as well. The filtration precision of glass fiber filter papers used for SS treatment is typically 5μm；
