What causes excessive steam condensation? Logically, reducing pressure without lowering temperature should only help the steam remain in a gaseous state.
For water vapor, even if it is adiabatic, a decrease in pressure necessarily results in a temperature drop. Too much steam condensation – is the insulation not adequate, resulting in excessive heat loss?
The saturated steam pressure is related to the steam temperature; when the pressure drops, the temperature certainly drops as well. If a drop in temperature is associated with condensate water, it means there is a blockage, as the condensate water is not being drained in time. It is recommended to check the drain valve, whether there is any backflow of condensate water after the valve, whether there are leaks in the bypass of the drain valve, or whether high pressure in other sections of the system is causing an increase in the backpressure behind the drain valve.
