On the morning of July 15, the coordination meeting for the Shenzhong Bridge project, as part of the 2020 (9th) International Conference on Bridge and Tunnel Technology, was successfully held in the conference hall of Section S07 of the Shenzhong Bridge. Song Shenyu, the chief engineer of the Shenzhong Bridge Management Center, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Jin Wenliang, deputy director of the chief engineer’s office at the management center. Nearly 30 people participated in the meeting, including technical leaders from various construction units involved in the project (Sections S02–S09 of the Shenzhong Bridge project, Sections GK01, GK02, and G01–G07, Terberg Offshore Engineering (Qingdao) Co., Ltd., Zhuzhou Times New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Baosteel Group Nantong Wire Products Co., Ltd., Jiangyin Huaxin Steel Cable Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Xinzhu Road and Bridge Machinery Co., Ltd.), as well as representatives from the secretariat of the IBTC International Bridge and Tunnel Conference. At the beginning of the conference, Deng Yan, the head of Shanghai Wending Information Technology Company, which is responsible for organizing the event, gave an introduction to the purpose and scope of the \"IBTC International Bridge and Tunnel Technology Conference\", as well as information on past editions of the conference and the preparations for this one. Following that, representatives from various parties involved in the Shenzhen-Zhuhai Bridge project exchanged views at the meeting, expressing their commitment to actively participating in the discussions and exhibitions held during the conference. Song Shenyu, Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of the Shenzhong Channel Management Center, concluded the meeting. He said that the \"IBTC International Bridge and Tunnel Conference\", as one of the top academic events in this industry, serves as a platform for the exchange of comprehensive information technology related to the bridge and tunnel sector. As one of the organizers of this conference, the Guangdong Highway Society, along with the Shenzhong Channel Management Center as one of the co-organizers, will provide strong support at all levels for the organizational preparations of the conference. At the same time, Song Shenyu pointed out that the Shenzhong Channel project has always adhered to a technology-driven and innovation-led approach during its construction, yielding numerous achievements in areas such as new theories, new materials, new processes, and new equipment. All the organizations involved in the Shenzhong Channel project represent the highest standards in their respective fields in China. He hoped that these organizations would actively submit their contributions and participate in this conference, so as to showcase the various technical advancements and research results developed during the construction of the project, thereby contributing to the development of the industry. This will positively help to enhance the influence of these organizations as well as that of the Shenzhong Channel project itself. “The 2020 (9th) International Conference on Bridge and Tunnel Technology will be held in Guangzhou from September 23 to 25, 2020, with the Shenzhong Bridge Management Center participating as a co-organizer. The Shenzhong Bridge is a world-class integrated project featuring bridges, islands, tunnels, and underground connections. The successful holding of this coordination meeting will greatly enrich the content of exchanges and presentations at the conference; the image of the Shenzhong Bridge project, along with the key technologies and innovative achievements developed, will be fully showcased there.
