On April 9, the first section of the methanol degreasing tower of the ethanol unit of the 500,000-ton/year coal-based ethanol project of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushenneng Chemical Company was successfully hoisted into place after half a month of ground assembly, marking a phased victory in the installation of the core tower of the unit. It is understood that the methanol degreasing tower has a diameter of 6.7 meters, a height of 90 meters, and a total weight of about 560 tons. It is divided into three sections. The first section is in place based on the equipment, and the second and third sections will be assembled in the air. This hoisting work is a very high-altitude operation, using a 1,250-ton crawler main crane, which requires high construction quality and safety. Before the hoisting, the project team of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. fully analyzed the operational risks and difficulties faced by high-altitude operations, and realized the "dressing and wearing hats" of the equipment before hoisting (that is, completing labor protection, tower internals, attached tower pipelines, electrical instruments, equipment and pipeline insulation and other related work on the ground). At the same time, detailed planning was carried out in terms of material supply, manpower allocation, organizational connection, etc., and dedicated personnel were arranged for tracking and control. After half a month of ground assembly work, on April 6, the first section of the equipment successfully passed the pre-hoisting joint inspection of all parties involved in the construction. This time, a 1,250-ton crawler crane was used as the main crane and a 450-ton crawler crane was used as the tail crane. The equipment was successfully in place after 2 hours.
