Recently, China Power Construction and the Pakistani Frontier Works Organization formed a joint venture in a 70%/30% ratio, and signed contracts with the Diamer Basha Development Company (Pvt).Ltd. for the Diamer Basha Dam (civil works) and Tangir Hydropower Project in Pakistan. The contract value is approximately 2.752 billion US dollars, which is equivalent to about 19.5056 billion yuan. The company holds 70% of this amount, or 1.926 billion US dollars, corresponding to roughly 13.654 billion yuan. The project is located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, and its scope of work includes the construction of a roller-compacted concrete gravity dam, scour tunnels on the left and right banks, intake tunnels on the same banks, underground power houses on the left and right banks, a substation on the left bank, roads within the site, as well as the Tangir hydropower station (with an installed capacity of 21,000 kilowatts) to supply electricity for construction purposes. The total project duration is 103 months. Phase I of Changchun City’s Urban Rail Transit Line 5: The scale of this project is as follows – Phase I of Changchun City’s Urban Rail Transit Line 5 constitutes a backbone line running from southwest to northeast; it enhances the connection between the high-tech industrial development zone and the city center, thereby contributing to the rational development of Changchun’s urban structure. From south to north, the route runs primarily along Silicon Valley Street, Qianjin Street, Yan’an Street, Huxi Road, Hongqi Street, Jianzheng Road, and Changchun Street. The areas along this route are well-developed, with a high density of population and job opportunities; traffic volume is high during peak hours, resulting in significant congestion. The line starts at the Southwest Hub Station at the intersection of Silicon Valley Street and Excellence Avenue, passing through Chaoqiang Street Station, Shunda Road Station, Yueda Road Station, Anxin Road Station, Weishan Road West Station, Silicon Valley Plaza Station, Silicon Valley Street Station, Fengrong Road West Station, Nanhu Plaza Station, Huxi Road Station, Gongnong Da Road Station, Culture Plaza Station, Comrade Street Station, People’s Square Station, Dajing Road Station, Yatai Street Station, and ends at Dongdaqiao Station. The line is 19.657 km in length, with a total of 18 stations, including 8 transfer stations; it connects to the Yuanjing Airport Line at Weishan Road West Station ; Transfer to the under-construction Line 6 at Silicon Valley Plaza Station ; Transfer to the already operating Line 3 at Silicon Valley Avenue Station ; Transfer to the planned Line 7 at Nanhu Square Station ; Transfer to the Yuanjing Shuangyang Line at Huxi Road Station ; Transfer to the already operational Line 2 at Wenhua Square Station ; Transfer to the already operational Line 1 at People’s Square Station ; Transfer to the already operating Line 4 at Dongdaqiao Station. A Lujiatun vehicle depot will be established in the green belt of the ring highway. The investment amount for this project is approximately 1,012,581.76 million yuan. The total length of the road is approximately 57 kilometers. The entire route is designed as a four-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 26 meters. The vehicle load requirements for bridges and culverts along the route are set at Highway-I standard. This project plans to construct 1,186 meters of viaducts/1 bridge (two lanes; the same applies hereafter), 13,854 meters of major bridges/56.5 bridges, and 2,239 meters of medium bridges/33 bridges. The total length of these bridges is 17,279 meters, accounting for 30.2% of the route length ; The entire route is planned to have 6,405 meters of long tunnels/4 tunnels (twin tunnels; the same applies hereafter), 2,990 meters of medium-length tunnels/4 tunnels, and 1,760 meters of short tunnels/5 tunnels.
