The combined pouring of the low-bearing platform for the 160,000-cubic-meter ethane tank at the Tianjin Nangang Ethylene Light Hydrocarbons project was completed. At 3 a.m. on May 25, the pouring of the large-volume concrete for this low-bearing platform, as part of the project to utilize externally sourced light hydrocarbons at the Tianjin Nangang Ethylene plant, was successfully finished after 37.5 hours, enabling the efficient completion of the pouring of more than 6,810 cubic meters of concrete. For this construction, the foundation pad has a diameter of nearly 90 meters and a height of 1.1 meters; 32 mixers are used for transporting the concrete, along with 4 pump trucks to deliver the concrete into the formwork simultaneously for pouring. As a supporting project for the Tianjin Nangang ethylene project, the Tianjin Nangang purchased materials project is tasked with supplying raw materials necessary for the operation of the ethylene plant there. The project department of Sihua Fourth Construction Company, which is responsible for the construction work, organized several discussion meetings and briefing sessions regarding the pouring of the low foundation slabs in order to ensure that this task was carried out on schedule. These meetings were held to optimize the construction plan and to strengthen the foundations of safety and quality standards. During the construction processes such as excavation, pile breaking, rebar binding, and formwork assembly, efforts were made continuously for 24 hours to overcome the adverse effects of extreme weather conditions (strong winds, heavy rain), and the pouring of the mass concrete was completed on schedule. This resulted in a higher work efficiency compared to similar projects, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction work. It has won unanimous praise from the owners.
