Since it must be securely attached to the equipment, the ladders are typically designed and manufactured by the equipment manufacturer along with the equipment itself. They are shipped to the site as separate components, and on-site installation simply involves assembling them using screws as indicated in the drawings. Generally, for such standalone devices, it’s advisable to arrange both procurement and installation, leaving it to the manufacturer to handle.

I’ve worked on similar projects before; there was an iron chimney with a ladder, and the manufacturer handled both the manufacturing and installation. Alternatively, the on-site general contractor can handle the installation, with the manufacturer sending personnel to provide guidance. However, it is best for the manufacturer to handle the design uniformly, as after all the ladder needs to be fixed to the surface of the equipment casing, and it will be difficult to determine what went wrong if welding is done improperly.

I’ve also seen a case where the manufacturer paid 50,000 yuan to a local company to carry out the installation work on a fixed price basis; however, it was found that the dimensional errors were quite large, and almost every pre-drilled hole needed to be enlarged. The construction company refused to continue working and demanded an additional fee of 140,000 yuan... In the end, the client sued the manufacturer.
