Recently, as the project construction progresses smoothly, the 200,000-ton per year dimethyl carbonate production project at the Shandong Depu New Materials Industrial Park, which is under the general contracting of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., has entered its final phase. To date, the overall project progress has reached 92% of the key milestones: 91% of the construction work is complete, the completion rate for the installation of process pipelines exceeds 90%, and the electrical and instrumentation installation work is advancing steadily. To ensure that the project meets all the required standards by the end of October this year, the project team regards safety as its top priority. It has introduced innovative phased safety training programs, providing customized safety instructions and specialized training tailored to the risk characteristics of different construction stages such as civil engineering, installation, and commissioning. This approach helps to instill the safety philosophy of \"responsibility + execution\" in every worker. While ensuring safe production, the project team will strictly implement the \"CCCC Plan\", advancing construction by working backward from the deadline and using visual management techniques. This approach will enable the efficient completion of the installation of all process pipelines, pressure testing, as well as the laying of electrical and instrumentation cables in the process unit area and utility systems, thereby creating the conditions necessary for the 110KV main substation to begin operating. This project is a key new materials and circular economy industry initiative promoted by Shandong Province. It produces dimethyl carbonate using the propylene oxide transesterification method, offering advantages such as high process flexibility and high product purity, and it also provides room for upgrades specifically for the production of electronic-grade and pharmaceutical-grade products. By innovatively using carbon fixation technologies to convert carbon dioxide and propylene oxide into new materials, it provides a practical technical pathway for achieving China’s \"3060\" dual-carbon goals.
