On June 1, 2024, the 59-60 axis truss of the 190-ton C4(Y5) pipeline gallery in the Inner Mongolia Baofeng Coal-based New Materials project was successfully lifted, marking another large-scale heavy truss being installed as part of this project. The truss has a span of 35 meters and a width of 18 meters, and a 1600-ton crane is used for lifting it. Addressing the key challenges such as large volume of work at high altitudes, heavy weights, long spans, high risks associated with lifting, and high requirements for installation accuracy, the project management team actively communicated and coordinated with the lift workers. Multiple on-site measurements were carried out regarding the lifting methods and the path along which the truss would be moved, thereby continuously improving the on-site installation plan, arranging the timing of component delivery appropriately, and refining and optimizing the conditions for truss installation. During the lifting process, the on-site supervisor oversees everything throughout, ensuring proper coordination and efficient management in order to maintain safety and stability throughout the operation. Ultimately, through the efficient cooperation of all parties involved, the desired goal was achieved: the overhead truss was installed in one go, aligned precisely in one attempt, and passed inspection on the first try.
