Recently, the installation of four distillation towers for the 100,000 tons per year green methanol project at Shanghai Huayi Industrial Gas Co., Ltd., which is under the general contracting of China National Chemical Corporation Tianchen, was successfully completed. This marks the official end of the project’s civil construction phase, with the project now entering the equipment installation stage. Due to limited space for the project site, this lifting operation requires crossing from the prefabrication area across the old plant’s main corridor to the installation location, making it a challenging task. The project team took the lead of the consortium to scientifically develop a lifting plan, carefully coordinating key stages such as the arrival of equipment, the installation of necessary components on the equipment, and the lifting of large-scale components. It took 12 days to complete the installation of the pipelines attached to the four distillation towers, as well as the installation of ladder platforms and the application of anti-corrosion and insulation measures. During the construction, 650-ton crawler cranes and 300-ton truck-mounted cranes were used in conjunction to successfully cross the main corridor of the old factory; the four distillation towers were lifted into place, enabling the towers to be operational once the lights were turned on. This laid a solid foundation for the full-scale installation work on the project, earning high praise and recognition from the client. Next, the Shanghai Huayi Green Methanol Project Team will take this milestone as an opportunity to continue to focus closely on the group company’s “135” development strategy, maintain strict control over construction safety and quality, advance the project construction steadily, and ensure the successful completion of all construction tasks, thereby injecting strong momentum into the company’s high-quality development! It is reported that this project aims to produce green methanol using biomass biogas as raw material, and it represents an important initiative by the Shanghai municipal government to promote green and low-carbon development.
