Recently, the 1,159-ton core equipment, namely the quench tower, was successfully delivered to the site of the ethylene unit in China Petroleum Guangxi Petrochemical’s integrated refining and chemical transformation project. It lies side by side with the first large-scale tower to arrive at the site, the quench oil tower (weighing 1,406 tons). The 4,000-ton crawler crane, which has just been assembled and is now ready for lifting operations, is poised to assist with the lifting of these two towers, preparing thoroughly for the upcoming heavy-lifting tasks. To ensure the smooth maritime lifting of the large-scale equipment for the project, Guangxi Petrochemical refined the procedures related to navigation feasibility studies for such equipment, berthing and unloading, as well as bridge reinforcement. The various PMT project teams worked closely together to ensure that the large-scale equipment was manufactured as specified in the designs, transported in accordance with the plans, and lifted properly and in an orderly manner. In the first five months of this year, Guangxi Petrochemical focused on coordinated planning and progress-driven execution. In line with the principles of \"standardized design, centralized procurement, factory-based prefabrication, modular construction, intelligent management, and digital delivery,\" it built a modular manufacturing base. It completed the factory-based prefabrication, modular construction, and overall installation of the radiation chambers for the 7 cracker units in the ethylene plant, as well as the modular construction and installation of the first pipeline corridor. Labor competitions were carried out on a continuous basis, with more than 100 outstanding individuals and over 20 successful units recognized and rewarded. This encouraged all those involved in the construction to take on heavy responsibilities and work hard; as a result, phased achievements were made in various tasks, and the overall construction progress accelerated. The project gradually moved from the civil construction phase to the stages of steel structure installation and equipment setup.
