On July 3, the upper module of the degassing tank’s framework for Line 2 of the first set of dual-series full-density polyethylene plants in Tarim Phase II – which was independently designed by CNPC and constructed by CPECC First Construction Company – was successfully lifted into place in one go, marking the successful completion of the construction tasks related to the \"eight major lifting operations\" for this plant. All the personnel involved in the work at the First Construction Company worked together diligently, and 13 days ahead of schedule they successfully completed the critical milestone of lifting and installing 2 of the largest degassing vessels, 2 of the biggest reactors, 4 steel framework modules for degassing vessels, as well as various auxiliary facilities. This achievement once again demonstrates the company’s outstanding organizational and construction capabilities in the installation of large-scale core equipment in petrochemical plants.
Technical engineers use the TEKLA 3D modeling software and the STAAD PRO finite element analysis tool to conduct highly detailed simulations and analyses in advance regarding factors such as the path for each lifting operation, the positioning required, the bearing capacity of the foundation, and environmental disturbances. They carry out precise calculations and simulation analyses on oversized equipment, the distribution of weight centers in steel structure frames, as well as the strength and stability of these structures, in order to determine the optimal locations for lifting lugs and develop detailed reinforcement plans. To ensure the flawless completion of the construction task involving the installation of these eight large-scale components, relevant professionals made two trips to Jilin to hold in-depth technical discussions with the design institute. They also conducted three rounds of detailed reviews of the device design models, and visited the facility area of the 300,000 tons per year full-density polyethylene project in Tarim Phase II to carry out thorough inspections. By making repeated adjustments to various construction techniques and lifting plans, they provided a solid technical foundation that enabled all eight components to be installed accurately in just one attempt. The \"six modernizations\" approach helps improve quality and efficiency, while modular construction reduces risks. The project team adheres to the requirements of the \"six modernizations-driven project approach\", adopting factory-prepared components and modular construction as its core strategies. By dividing the two 42.3-meter-high steel frameworks for the degassing tanks into four modules with heights of 23.5 meters and 18.8 meters each, precise elevation levels for each module are determined, thereby laying a solid foundation for successful lifting operations.
