Recently, the Shanghai Electric Taonan Wind Power-Coupled Biomass Green Methanol Integrated Demonstration Project, constructed by Shanxi JianTou Installation Group, was officially put into operation. This marks an important breakthrough in China’s field of green hydrogen-based fuels, and it provides another replicable and scalable \"Chinese solution\" for the transformation and upgrading of the energy structure as well as the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals. Located in the Green Energy and Chemical Industry Park in western Jilin (Taonan), this project is one of the key infrastructure projects in Jilin Province worth tens of billions of yuan. It is also **one of the first demonstration projects for the on-site utilization of hydrogen produced from green electricity**. The construction scope of the group includes the construction of 1 set of low-temperature methanol washing unit, 1 set of electrolytic hydrogen production unit, 2 sets of biomass gasification units, 1 set of hydrogen booster, 1 set of gasification compression unit, as well as associated projects. Based on Taonan’s abundant renewable resources such as wind energy and biomass energy, this project aims to develop an industrial chain of \"green new energy + green chemicals,\" serving as a model for the development of the new energy industry across the country.
