Recently, the aniline-rubber additive industry chain project of Sinopec Nanjing Chemical reached a significant milestone, with the absorption tower for the 270,000 tons per year nitric acid plant successfully installed in place. This marks the official transition of the project from the civil construction phase to the peak period for equipment installation, laying a solid foundation for the project to come online and operate as scheduled. 　　The absorber tower that was successfully installed this time is the core equipment of the nitric acid plant. It weighs 487 tons in total, is approximately 66 meters tall and 6 meters in diameter. It is the tallest and heaviest tower in the entire project, requiring high precision during installation and presenting significant challenges. 　　At 8:45 a.m., under the clear and loud instructions of the crane operator, the massive tower was slowly lifted by the crane. Through a series of high-standard operations such as steady lifting and precise positioning, it was successfully installed in place after two hours. The entire process was carried out smoothly and precisely in one go. 　　To ensure the success of this lifting operation, the project team carried out thorough preparations over a period of more than 20 days in advance, completing all the tasks necessary to equip the tower with its various components – that is, before the lifting process began, all auxiliary facilities such as pipelines attached to the tower, anti-corrosion and insulation layers, as well as electrical lighting systems, were installed on the ground, so that the tower would be ready with lighting in place. 　　Furthermore, safety measures were in place throughout the entire lifting operation. The project contractor and the client adhere to the principle of \"safety first\"; prior to the lifting operation, they conduct multiple rounds of technical briefings and safety assessments, carefully evaluate the lifting plan, rigorously inspect the lifting equipment, and establish clear safety zones to ensure that the entire lifting process is carried out in a safe and controlled manner. 　　“Before lifting, we use specialized lifting software to conduct simulation analyses considering factors such as the lifting path of the components, surrounding obstacles, and wind effects. This allows us to identify and avoid potential risks in advance, ensuring that each step of the process is well-planned and thus guaranteeing the safe and smooth execution of the lifting operation. ”According to Wei Zhongpeng, the project manager for Section 1 of Nanjing Nanhua Construction Co., Ltd. 　　It is reported that the Sinopec Nanhua aniline-rubber additive industry chain project, with a total investment of over 4 billion yuan, is expected to be completed and put into operation by 2026. Once operational, it will generate an annual aniline production capacity of 300,000 tons at the Gulei Petrochemical Complex, providing a steady and continuous supply of raw materials for enterprises in the downstream stages of this industry chain.
