Recently, two high-pressure nitrogen tanks, V1310AB, as part of Project 3250 at Xinjiang Xinxinxiang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. – a project with an annual production capacity of 320,000 tons of melamine, 500,000 tons of high-efficiency compound fertilizers, and 200,000 tons of liquid carbon dioxide – were precisely lifted to their designated locations. Each of these tanks weighed 100 tons, and the lifting was carried out with the assistance of a 500-ton crawler crane and another 500-ton crawler crane used for guiding the tanks in place. This successful lift marked the completion of the first lifting operation for this project, thus officially ushering in a new phase of installation work. On July 16, the Zhundong Development Zone held a meeting to review the work accomplished in the first half of 2025. Zhao Yazhou, General Manager of Xinjiang Xinxinxin Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., said: Leveraging the advantages of coal and electricity resources in Zhundong, we have invested 7 billion yuan to build a facility capable of producing 320,000 tons of melamine, 500,000 tons of high-efficiency compound fertilizers, and 200,000 tons of liquid carbon dioxide per year. Upon completion of the project, it will be possible to process approximately 2 million tons of coal resources locally, generating an additional industrial output value of around 3 billion yuan, as well as an industrial added value of 1.5 billion yuan. The energy consumption per unit of industrial added value will be 1.57 tons of standard coal per 10,000 yuan (after accounting for the energy used in raw material production). The net profit expected is 910 million yuan, and the project will create more than 1,000 new job opportunities. The project utilizes Jinhua furnace technology; three Jinhua furnaces (two in operation and one as backup) are installed in the first phase, while four Jinhua furnaces (three in operation and one as backup) are used in the second phase. The gasification pressure is 6.5 MPaG, and the gas output per furnace is 130,000 Nm3/h (CO + H2). The project uses coal as raw material and, through processes such as gasification, shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, and ammonia synthesis, produces products such as compound fertilizers, melamine, and high-purity carbon dioxide. An annual production capacity of 320,000 tons of melamine and 500,000 tons of compound fertilizers. The production facilities include a gasification unit, an ammonia synthesis unit, a melamine unit, a compound fertilizer unit, a sulfur recovery unit, a high-purity carbon dioxide unit, and an air separation unit. The plant’s production capacity for synthetic ammonia is 666,000 tons per year, of which 286,000 tons per year are sold to external parties ; Melamine: 320,000 t/a (160,000 t/a per unit) ; 500,000 t/a of compound fertilizer ; 200,000 t/a of high-purity carbon dioxide ; By-product sulfur: 10,400 tons per year. The investment in engineering projects amounts to 7,818.09 million yuan, while the investment in environmental protection measures is 557.3 million yuan, accounting for 7.13% of the total investment.
