On November 3, an important milestone was reached in the construction of the 100,000-ton/year propylene oxide production unit as part of Shaanxi Yueneng Fine Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.’s 1-million-ton/year high-end chemical materials project; the first large-scale equipment for this project, namely the epoxidation reactor, was successfully installed. The epoxidation reactor is the core equipment in a propylene oxide plant; each unit weighs 260 tons, with a diameter of 3.5 meters and a height of 24.73 meters. Shaanxi Yueneng Fine Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.’s 1 million tons per year production facility for high-end chemical materials is located in the South Area of the Qingshui Industrial Zone within the Yushen Industrial Park in Yulin City. It covers an area of 1,500 mu, with a total planned investment of 10.3 billion yuan. The annual comprehensive energy consumption equivalent of the project is 269,000 tons of standard coal. The construction components mainly include a DMTA plant with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, an ethylene oxide plant with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, a polyether superplasticizer monomer plant with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, a propylene oxide plant with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons, a hydrogen peroxide plant with an annual capacity of 260,000 tons, an acrylic acid plant with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons, a butyl acrylate plant with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons, an acrylate emulsion plant with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, a polycarboxylate superplasticizer plant with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, as well as various supporting and auxiliary facilities. The 1 million tons per year high-end chemical materials project of Shaanxi Yueneng Fine Chemical Materials Co., Ltd. includes a 400,000 tons per year polycarboxylate superplasticizer production facility, which consists of two main units: the polycarboxylate superplasticizer production unit (1190) and the polycarboxylate superplasticizer mixing plant (1191). The polycarboxylate superplasticizer production facility (1190) is equipped with 4 mother liquor synthesis lines, resulting in an annual total production of 275,000 tons of mother liquor. Of this amount, 75,000 tons are used to produce superplasticizers through mixing with other substances, while the remaining mother liquor is sold directly. For mother liquor compounding (1191), 1 production line is set up, with an annual output of 200,000 tons.
On the afternoon of October 22, the main structure of the polyether superplasticizer monomer unit in the ethylene oxide complex of Shaanxi Yueneng Fine Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.’s 1 million tons per year high-end chemical materials project was successfully completed, making it the first main building in the entire plant to reach this completion stage. It is reported that the polyether superplasticizer monomer plant, whose construction has been completed this time, has a main structure that is 31.2 meters long and 91 meters wide; it features a three-story reinforced concrete framework, with a total construction area of 9,026.4 square meters. During the construction process, a total of 6,500 cubic meters of concrete was poured, and 1,100 tons of rebar were used; the overall technical standards are high and the quality requirements are strict. The device employs an advanced external-circulation spray ethoxylation process, comprising multiple process units such as catalyst preparation, pretreatment, reaction, post-treatment, intermediate handling, as well as systems for hot water and exhaust gas treatment.
