The fermentation tank for the Inner Mongolia Pengtai Biology project was accurately positioned on December 3rd. In the Duguitala South Industrial Park in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, amid the noise of crawler cranes, the core equipment for the Yitai-Jupeng project – a facility that uses biological fermentation to produce 100,000 tons of ethanol along with 20,000 tons of microbial protein – was successfully lifted and placed in position. This equipment, a 207-ton fermentation tank, marks a new stage in the construction of this project, as work moves into a critical phase. As the key component in the biological ethanol production process, this fermentation tank has a diameter of 6.7 meters and a weight of 207 tons; its precise installation is crucial for determining the efficiency of ethanol fermentation and the quality of the final product, and it is considered a “critical link” by the project team. By utilizing BIM technology, the project created three-dimensional models of the equipment, pipelines, and the site; simulations were used to identify and avoid potential risks in advance, ensuring that there were no blind spots in the lifting process. Ultimately, a 500-ton crawler crane was used to carry out this lifting operation
