What are the requirements for lubricating oil in large centrifugal compressors? How often should an oil filter be used for filtering oil during the normal operation of the equipment? What are the effects of oil temperature exceeding 60 degrees Celsius?
Excessively high oil temperature has a significant impact on the quality of the oil; it accelerates its aging. Additionally, the viscosity of the oil decreases, preventing it from performing its lubricating and cooling functions, which in turn accelerates vibration between the bearing shells
Check the instructions for oil specifications; too high oil temperature, high shaft temperature, and poor bearing operation can all lead to the oil aging and deteriorating
I’ve heard that lubricants have an optimal temperature and pressure for lubrication; I’m not sure if this information comes from the manual or if there’s some scientific basis for it Then do you know the specific parameters? Are all conventional centrifugal compressors equipped with Shell or Mobil lubricants? Is it 54#?
Not necessarily; domestic compressors generally use domestic lubricants, with turbine oil grade 46 being the most common
The standard requirements for lubricating oil are flash point, viscosity, and moisture content; some manufacturers’ compressors also have requirements regarding acid value and cleanliness. During operation, the oil temperature must be controlled, with the temperature generally not exceeding 110°C. The specifications and requirements for lubricants from different manufacturers are outlined in the accompanying documents.
Here are my personal opinions regarding high oil temperature: 1. When the oil temperature is too high, the oil film becomes thinner; 2. If all other conditions remain unchanged, an increase in oil temperature leads to a decrease in oil pressure. When a self-acting control valve is insensitive or fails to function even when adjusted to its extreme position, high oil pressure can trigger the unit’s self-protection mechanism, which is unsafe.
What about Siemens centrifuges?
Is this 110-degree temperature the temperature of the oil tank in the lubricating oil station?
Isn’t a self-acting control valve capable of regulation? What is the appropriate temperature in degrees Celsius for the oil after filtration and cooling? Is it around 40?
The temperature of the email box is generally required to be around 40. 110 degrees is the bearing shell temperature.
